CONCEPT ART
for THE HUNTERS
Before I signed my option deal for THE HUNTERS, I only had a vague notion of concept art. Although the term is self-explanatory, I didn’t realize how important it was to the look of a film. Thankfully, we have one of the best artists in Hollywood working on the project. His name is Chris Rosewarne, and he's worked on Guardians of the Galaxy, Skyfall, and many other blockbusters. (If you want to learn more about him, check out his website.)
In order to pitch the movie to potential actors, studios, and financiers, he created concept art for some of the key scenes in the book and/or screenplay. Below you will see some of my favorites (with SPOILERS):
Béla Dobrev approaching the train station in 1916
The treasure train being loaded in the dead of night
McNutt providing cover for the team in modern-day Moscow
The Hunters running into trouble in the wilderness
A pack of wolves moving in for the kill
The Cossacks greeting the Hunters
Sidorov leading his men against the Hunters
Cobb hitting the lever to change tracks
The train speeding away from Sidorov's men
Borovsky trying to save McNutt from certain death
Borovsky and McNutt scrambling to safety
