CLIVE CUSSLER
Most of you know that Clive Cussler is my literary role model. I grew up reading his Dirk Pitt novels, and his stories made me (and millions of other readers) fall in love with the action-adventure genre. Simply put, Clive Cussler is a legend.
In February 2016, I had the honor to spend the day with Clive in Arizona, and it was an incredible experience. We had lunch at one of his favorite restaurants. We chatted in his house and office. And he took me for a ride in one of his classic cars. Without question, it was one of the best days of my life — and an item on my bucket list.
All of this was arranged by my good friends Boyd Morrison and Graham Brown (co-writers for Clive), so a huge thank you goes out to them for making this happen.
